Re: 'official' Elecraft notify list

Joe Planisky
Yes, it is.  But the point is that I have to remember to check that
page every so often.  If there was an "Announcements" email list, I
could sit back and wait for the emails to tell me it's time to update.

Lots of companies maintain both a discussion list (open to all
interested parties) and an official "Announcements" list that only the
company can post to.  They use it to announce updates, new products,
etc.  People who don't necessarily want to monitor the discussion list
(with its dozens of daily messages) but still want to know about
official company announcements can subscribe to the Announcements list.

Joe,

I just check the box, check every 6 hours, in the K3 utility.

Wayne posts the latest updates that are out of beta as well, I believe.

Grant Youngman
I just check the website from time to time.

I don't think we need yet another list ...  gratefully, no one has
suggested Tweeting  .. as if finding out about a new update couldn't
wait an hour, an afternoon, a day, a week,  .. :-)
