Reading 'extended' data from menus via serial

David Patino
Howdy,

So some of the menu options have a basic setting, ie on/off, but then an
extended setting as well. For example the Alarm menu:
MN000;
When read with MP; it will only report if the alarm is on or not (Bit 4
on / off)
you can turn it on or off by changing that bit with MP, and you can
change the hours/minutes setting (after sending the right SWT command)
using UP; or DN;, but is there any way to read what time the alarm is
set to?

The programming reference says "(In some cases, more than one value can
be accessed for a given menu entry via the numeric keys;
see menu listing in manual.)"

All the manual says for the alarm menu is:
Num 1 turns the alarm on/off
Num 2 select hours
Num 3 selects minutes

None of these change what is reported by MP though and I can't seem to
find anything else in the manual.
Anyone know if it's possible to read that value? TX ESSB is another one.
MP turns it on/off, but not sure how to read the bandwidth setting.

I'll answer my own question.

Once that menu setting is active, DS; command will return what the
display is showing.
