Redoing TxGain k3

I have two K3s, SN in the 3XXX and 4XXX range.  I notice that over time I can see a leading
edge "spike" on first character of cw.  If I redo TxGain calibration it goes away.  It seems like
I need to redo the TxGain cal about every year.  

Is this what others see?
