I am wanting to remotely turn on my k3/0. I have a remoterig attached to the PC via USB and a serial cable from the remoterig to the k3/0. Is there a way for me to remotely turn on and off the k3/0?
Thank you Jon k7co |
Hi John,
I think you meant to say that you want to turn on your remote K3 using a K3/0? If you bought the cable set, then there is a cable included that plugs in between the K3's ACC jack and the RRC's I/O jack. Then all you do is press the power button on your K3/0 at the remote locations and the K3 turns on automatically. It is obvious that the RRC's must be programmed per the manual. 73, Mitch DJ0QN On 17.01.2013 22:44, k7co wrote: > I am wanting to remotely turn on my k3/0. Empirically, I can say that the K3/0 (at least the one that I tested
recently) can be powered on by pulling down pin 8 on its ACC connector, just as a "regular" K3 can. I don't know if there's any way to remotely turn OFF the K3/0 through the RemoteRig, though, assuming you have it setup so CAT commands get sent to the remote K3...... ~iain / N6ML On Thu, Jan 17, 2013 at 2:35 PM, Mitch Wolfson DJØQN <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi John, > > I think you meant to say that you want to turn on your remote K3 using a > K3/0? > > If you bought the cable set, then there is a cable included that plugs in > between the K3's ACC jack and the RRC's I/O jack.
