I have just changed out the KIO3A main I/O board on my new K3 - an
expensive lesson in lightning-induced EMP damage, I guess. Too bad it
wasn't the digital I/O daughter board, which is cheap by comparison.
Would there be any point in sending the $106 board back to Elecraft for
diagnosis and repair, or is it generally not cost-effective to do so?
If not, I'm tempted to try changing out U1 on my own, just to see if
that's all that's wrong.
