SUB/Split feature request

George-122
This idea has merit, but it is not good for ops with a weak right ear. Therefore, if implemented, one should be able to select which ear gets the sound.  Oh, to be 25 again.

I really am confused as to what idea this is referring to.  But I
have a suggestion concerning SPLIT.

SPLIT is a feature that gets used frequently in DX chasing or
contesting.  It is activated by pushing and holding the SPLIT
button.  How long do you have to hold it?  If you don't hold it long
enough you make the fatal error of transferring A>B which will lose
the split frequency.  I would suggest a beep confirmation in the
headphones/speaker when the split button has been held long
enough.  I think maybe this has been suggested in the past, maybe
even for all push and hold functions.

Yes, I also think beep confirmatin for long button presses would be
nice. There is a place for this in the config menu ("SW TONE"), not
yet implemented. Might even be able to have Morse Code tags for some
functions (unless I am dreaming all this up???).
