I have had the P3 for several months now and debating whether or not to
purchase the SVGA board and an additional monitor for the larger display. I would be interested in anyone's comments about their experiences in doing the same, comparing what their thoughts were, using the P3 before and after adding the board and the larger display. Your comments would be most welcome, either on the reflector or direct. Thanx. Hi Paul,
I had the P3 sitting on top of the K3 and I was completely happy. I bought the SVGA board and am now twice as happy. I can view a wider area (even though my monitor is only 1280x1024) and the waterfall function is now taller and has proven to be far more useful to me than on the P3 alone. If you like to view decoded CW, RTTY, or PSK it can display that as well without losing hardly any screen real estate. I am fond of this feature. There is also a keyboard input for sending RTTY or PSK which I'm not using but others have found that it works quite well. I already had an external monitor connected as a second monitor on my PC. It has front selectable inputs (SVGA and DVI) so I can still use it for the PC as well as with the P3. (It just required a bit of switching around on my PC to establish the main PC monitor as SVGA and the secondary PC monitor as DVI). A push of the monitor button flips it between the PC and the P3. 73, Mike K2MK

Can someone point me to a screenshot with the SVGA display showing decoded
text? Thanks. 73, Jim N7US -----Original Message----- Hi Paul, I had the P3 sitting on top of the K3 and I was completely happy. I bought the SVGA board and am now twice as happy.
