For those of you contemplating building your first (or your next) K2, we
are now shipping all of our new "Stock K2 - PCB Upgrade Parts Kits". In
conjunction with our Rework Eliminator(TM) option bypass headers and the
instructions in our new "Rework Eliminators(TM) Companion Guide", these
newest kits will enable you to build a "Plug & Play Ready" stock K2.
What this means is that after it's assembled and aligned, you can add
any internal option to your K2 by removing just the top cover and then
plugging in the option! Other than changing the jumpers on the mic
configuration header (on the front panel board) or perhaps adding some new
mod, we foresee no reason why you would ever need to disassemble your K2.
