I forgot the following settings:
MIC GAIN = 40 (had to set higher for Heil versus stock mic)
Compression = 10

I just picked up a new Heil Pro-Set PLUS headset for my K3 and
I've been trying to get the VOX settings adjusted appropriately. Keep
in mind that my shack is my bedroom which is very quiet. The MIC
is connected via the rear 1/8" mic/phone connectors. The following
settings have been made:
VOX GN = 30
ANTIVOX = 0
MIC SEL = r P.H (no bias)
VOX Delay = .50
Do these settings sound reasonable? Am I missing anything?
Also, what's the easiest way to quickly mute the mic if you need to cough
or something?
