Saturday's CW NAQP Contest

Art - W6KY
North American QSO Party

This is (was) a great contest for QRP'ers because all the top
USA contesters are on and they want to exceed 800-900
QSO's in 10 hours. So, they 'hear' very well and so do their
super stations. Hearing QRP to them is like hearing
Afghanistan. No problem!!!...

The SSB side of this contest (for the K2
crowd) is on Aug 21 starting @ 1800Z.
See www<dot>contesting<dot>com  for details...

I was only on for 5 1/2 hours and on my K1-4 with 15,20 and
40 meters managed to work 34 states, 3 VE Provences
including PEI, European Russia and Brazil. 167 QSO's.
And thats with incredibly lousy condx.
Also, that was battery power and the antenna was an
Outbacker Perth on a tripod in the back yard.....

The NAQP CW and SSB is twice per year. Summer and
winter. 100 watts max, with a QRP catagory..Allowed 10 hours
to operate. Winter, QRP should work 'all' 50 states easily....
C U in the SSB in 2 weeks.  I'll be QRO.
