"Hello Phil,  I will have some black K3 knobs shipping on Monday.  Price is
$105.00 each plus $5 USPS Priority Mail shipping.  I should have my website
updated ready to take orders this weekend.  I've been pretty busy running
machines trying to make the knobs.  I can take Paypal at:

I am saying over and over again to myself: "I am NOT going to spend over
$100 on a KNOB for my radio! I am NOT going to spend over $100 on a KNOB for
my radio! I am NOT going to spend over $100 on a KNOB for my radio! ..."

But I really, really want one.

No. I am NOT going to spend over $100 on a KNOB for my radio!

When you install that new knob, let us know what you think about it.  :)

Well, if that knob making company is not public you can do the very
same thing and buy stock in a company like Starbucks that sells a
cup of coffee for more then $3 and an average sale is typically over
$7.  My stock in Starbucks has almost tripled in value since I bought
it.

I can't believe all these emails about a knob.  Hey, this guy has a small
business.  Give him the opportunity to be successful.  Don't run him down
before he even gets started.  I applaud him doing this.

$105 per share? Maybe a certificate comes with each knob.

Now that would be neat.  A "Certificate of Authenticity" complete with
matching serial number (the knob does have a serial number, yes?) that
is suitable for framing.  I like it!

Re: Seems to be confusion!

No, no - you send him your K3 s/n and that is what is engraved on the knob.
At that price (which is not unreasonable for short-run machining and
finishing, by the way) you would want theft protection.

Re: Seems to be confusion!

Right on, George!  Down at the lake boaters have taken to engraving their
Social Security number or boat registration number on their expensive
stainless steel props, as, with the boat up on the hoist, they are a real
temptation for thieves.

Without ID, one could lose a K3 knob on Field Day and not know it for hours.
