Serial #5577 on the air SSB and CW

Ron ZL1TW
Hi
Today  K2 #5577  put out it's first RF after a relaxing 5 day build (
it's not my first K2 build) and it all came up to specs nicely.
Thanks to the expert packaging of Christine, Marina, and Val, there were no
spare parts and nothing missing to really worry about.
What did cause a bit of head scratching was the fact I had 2 lots of green
*stranded* hookup wire, where one lot should have been solid core wire for
winding T4.....hardly a problem worth contacting Elecraft for replacement!
Now I am not sure just how much difference stranded wire would make in this
case, but I thought I better stick with convention, but the major problem
was locating solid core hook-up wire? I haven't seen that for years here,
so I had to call on a bit of Native cunning.
I dug around and found some wire left over from either a KPA100 or a
KAT100.....probably around #20 or #22 and covered it with thin heat-shrink
and pulled it down with the heat gun.
Both windings fitted in the binocular core OK, and there was *just* enough
room to get the 2 single wires through for the other "winding".  The rig
transmitted just fine and I get "Specs plus" in the way of output,
including 12w on 10m.
Does anyone know if the stranded wire is included intentionally to use on
T4?  I notice that Elecraft use stranded wire in the KPA100, but it is
Teflon coated and the strands are small and shiny ( more like silver plated?)
