Serial #5887 - Delivered Today

Pre assembled with p3/ sub receiver and general coverage rx module but NO antenna tuner.  Tech at factory really discouraged purchasing any additional filters until I determined if I needed them.  I have it working with mostly default settings but have some questions:
1.  Do I need the Antenna Tuner with the additional antenna input in order to do diversity receive?
2.  Having not assembled it -How difficult will it be to install new filters with the sub receiver installed.

You have to remove the sub to install them...
I pretty much knew what I wanted after decades of ham radio so I
just bought the 8 pole ones and put them in right away.
