Serial Daisy Chain

Jim AB3CV
I notice the KPA500 has two serial ports (in/out). Is it permissible to add
it to the K3/P3 chain or will that cause issues. So far the K3/P3 serial
chain works fine when loading K3 firmware.

No, the out port is for use with Kenwood rigs so the KPA can read freq
data.

Hi Jim,

No, the KPA500 can not be daisy chained with the K3/P3 serial connection
via these RS-232 ports.

The KPA500 serial ports are totally independent functions and are -not-
daisy chain In/Out ports. One connects directly to your PC for firmware
downloads and control via KPA500 utility.  The other is there as a
listen only port to pick up band data from other radios, like Kenwood,
that do not provide parallel band data for the KPA500 Aux Port.
