Need some help setting up a new Elecraft K3 with a MKII. I’ve been using the MKII with the ICOM 7700 and a 756PROIII with no problems. I foolishly thought it would as simple as swapping out the cables and selecting Elecraft K3 from the Ports tab in the Device Router 8.3.1. Most be more to it then that.
The check is green in the Micro KEYER II tab at the top Device Router. I selected Elecraft K3 for the radio in the CAT(the baud is set at 4800). The Test button for FSK does causes the FSK LED to flicker on the MKII and the Test button for the WinKey does key the K3. The problem at this point is the Device Router is not showing the K3’s frequency. I tried changing the baud rate from 4800 to 9600 but the software would not allow it. It’s almost as if I need to turn on an option in the K3 to start sending data on request. Anyone know what I need to do?
