Setup Help

Richard Thorpe-2
I have my K3 driving an Expert Amp. I set the K3 (with the ATU out) at 25W on each band to drive the Expert to full output. A lot of times I don’t want to turn on the amp and use the K3 “barefoot” at 100W with the ATU switched in. What is the simplest way to do this? I need to change the K3 power out for each band, switch the antenna, switch in the ATU. Is there some simple way to do this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You might set up a command memory or two and use a PF button or two to
adjust the power level between 25 and 100 watts.

Richard,

I run the expert amp 1K FA with the K3. I run the KAT3 in bypass mode 100% of the time.  I also use the amp barefoot sometimes through the amplifier using its antenna tuner in line.

I am not completely clear on your line of questioning but feel free to contact me offline.
