I hadn't been into my K2 for about a year. Got the K6XX SMD version and was going to check out the installation site. I first took the top and the 100 watt amp module off. When I picked up the remainder I heard a little rattle. A little rig shaking and I could hear something rolling around. It was one of the black screws accompanied by a internal tooth lock washer trapped between the control board and the main board..
I was fortunate that the hardware didn't short something out.
Lesson: after working on your equipment, give it a good shake through several axes for rattles. A dropped screw could ruin an otherwise nice day.
Merry Christmas
