Shipping to Europe

Simon (HB9DRV)
I ordered the K1 / T1 / Buddipole:

Shipped using standard US air mail to Switzerland it was waiting for me at
the post office this morning, just four days after Pam sent it. US air mail
was the cheapest option and IMHO could not be bettered.

Hope to be on air next weekend with K1 / KX-1 and Buddipole.

My K2/100/KSB2/KAT100/minimods were ordered late on the 14th, UPS had
them late on the 15th, they're currently in "DERBY, GB" and their target
date is Monday... so probably an extra 1 working day later ordered and
delivered. Not bad.

I've heard bad things about ParcelFarce (who do the UK leg of standard
airmail) incorrectly charging duty and taking 3 or 4 months to refund
it, so I figured I'd rather pay UPS a bit to get it right rather than
ParcelFarce a lot to get it wrong.

I might try airmail for my next order though - sounds as though speed
difference is negligible, so you've just got to do the odds on incorrect
duty payments.

Re: Shipping to Europe

Swiss Post don't charge an admin fee while collecting VAT, so in fact US air
mail is the option I will use when I don't order my K2 in a few weeks. All
others charge quite a lot.
