I'm experiencing a weird issue related to the FW REV menu entry. I just
upgraded my firmware via the Elecraft KPA500 Utility to version 1.75. The Utility now reports that 1.75 is successfully installed. However, FW REV reports "FP 01.38." I've done a reset of the KPA500 and another reinstall of 1.75, but FW REV is still reporting the earlier version as being the one installed. I don't know if this is an error in the FW REV menu setting, or if the KPA500 Utility is reporting an error. Suggestions anyone? Thanks. 73, Carl -- ================================================= Carl Jón Denbow, N8VZ 17 Coventry Lane Athens, Ohio 45701-3718 [hidden email] www.n8vz.com EM89wh IRLP 4533 Echolink 116070 PSK and JT65 Forever! ================================================= ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

The current KPA500 firmware is 1.47. 73, ~iain / N6ML ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

OK, I figured out what I did. Somehow I managed to use the KPA500
Utility to connect to my KAT500. It actually worked and downloaded the KAT500 firmware and installed it. I was, of course, on a different port, but I didn't pay close enough attention to the which unit was using which port. Thanks for all of your feedback. 73 de Carl N8VZ Kevin wrote: > Make that KAT500 utility. > > > On 11/14/2016 1:43 PM, Kevin wrote: >> Are you running the latest KPA500 utility? >> >> >> >> On 11/14/2016 11:29 AM, Carl Jón Denbow wrote: >>> I'm experiencing a weird issue related to the FW REV menu entry. If the KPA500 utility connected to the KAT500, I think whoever at Elecraft
maintains the utility software needs to add some code to prevent that from happening.
