Good Morning All,
I am having an issue on 80/75 SSB. A set to 3.833 and B set to to 3.883 A is LSB B is AM-S with the S flashing. I have tried BSET to change the AM-S to LSB or any other mode. It keeps going back to AM-S I know I am missing something to save that setting. And I know I did something to put that into that mode. Please don't ask me what cus I don't know. In advance THANKS for all your thoughts. -- 73 KI4TXP JAY ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Jay,
There is more than one way to "skin a cat". Set VFO A, and then do a double tap on the A>B button to transfer the frequency, mode, and all to VFO B. Then tune VFO B to whatever frequency you wish. 73, Don W3FPR On 3/19/2019 10:35 AM, JAY wrote: > Good Morning All, > I am having an issue on 80/75 SSB. > A set to 3.833 and B set to to 3.883 > A is LSB > B is AM-S with the S flashing. > I have tried BSET to change the AM-S to LSB or any other mode. I wonder if somebody knows of an easy way to make a pair of K3 (both
with subRX) work in master-slave mode. In other words I want to tune one K3 and want the second K3 follow. The idea is to have 4 antennas connected to 4 receivers so that 4 directions can be monitored simultaneously in contests so polling from a contest logger is also in the mix. If possible, a hardware solution would be the best but software solution is also OK. 73, Igor UA9CDC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
In theory (I have not tried it), one could send an AI2; command to the
Master K3, to enable "AUTO INFO mode 2," then connect the two K3s to each other using a male-to-male null-modem cable (pins 2 and 3 crossed). Then the Slave K3 should track the Master K3. To get a logging program working on Master, you may want to use a K3S (or K3 with KIO3B upgrade), using the USB port used for the logger control, and connect the RJ45 to DE9 "pigtail" to the Slave via a "one-way" null-modem cable. Pin 2 on the pigtail (Master) would be connected to Pin 3 on the Slave. Pin 5 (GND) would be connected straight through. Do not connect Pin 2 on the Slave to Pin 3 on the Master, so the communication is only one way: Master to Slave. Note: AI2; mode doesn't output every movement of the VFO knobs. It only sends the new frequency to the other radio when you stop turning the knob, so the slave tracking would not be instantaneous; there would be a delay. Another option would be to try the experimental "Tracking" feature of a microHAM MK2R+ (firmware 7.5 or later). 73, Bob, N6TV On Tue, Mar 19, 2019 at 11:37 AM Igor Sokolov <[hidden email]> wrote: > I wonder if somebody knows of an easy way to make a pair of K3 (both > with subRX) work in master-slave mode.
