Hello Again, Group,
Wow, I didn't expect so many replies and so much wisdom of experience. I've been using an optivisor knockoff for a couple of years, and while it works, it is quite uncomfortable. I think I'll go that route with a real one. I must admit the photos make them look more comfortable. I may wind up getting both. Boy, I wish I knew then, what I know now about Lasik. When the doc said I would need reading glasses I thought, "well, I need glasses to read anyway". What he never said was that my closeup vision would go away completely. I used to be able to take the glasses off for really close work, but not anymore. Ahh the power of 20-20 hindsight. Anyway, thanks a bunch for all the replies and advice. 73 Tom, W3QS _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. I'd try the Optivisor first Tom. Then if you feel you need the swing
arm magnifier, you haven't invested a whole lot and, you will still like using the Optivisor. They really are pretty comfortable, at least for me.
