T3 continuity check

Nick T
Hello,

I am just about to finish up K2 kit # 6163 and I have a question about toroid T3.

When I do a continuity check between legs a,b,c, and d my meter is showing that all legs are connected electrically. Is this correct for T3?

Under close inspection with a magnifying glass I do not see any shorts between the red and green wires so I assume the legs are connected "further up the road" between the traces on the pc board.

Please let me know if I am on the right track before I button her up! Thanks!

73,

Nick Thomas NT1A

Nick,

Look at the schematic and you will see that there is a connection
between leads B and C are connected.  The proper time to check for
shorted wires is before soldering onto the board - everything will
appear shorted for DC (but not RF) after soldering on the board.
