They were so strong last night, I tuned up my 80 meter inverted V with the KAT500. I got tired of waiting for them to finish with EU.
This morning, I am hearing them 599 on the 80 meter V, so gave them a call and they came back first call!! KAT500 easily tuned the 80 meter inverted V!

I use that a bit, it's not friendly with MS 8 or something. I have to use Task Mgr to exit...but it is promising for setting up the K3. I have to repeatedly load the EQ to get all the EQ bands set on the K3...stuff like that.

Roger,
Same thing happened here. I also have an 80 meter inverted V and sat there it seemed like eternity last nite waiting while he was working europe. Gave up and went to bed and got up this morning at 5:30 PST and worked him first call He was so strong that I turned the RF gain way down on my K3 and it was sweet arm chair copy. Banging in over 9 here. Didnt need the amp, just 100 watts with the K3. My noise level has been pretty high on 80 meters lately from our power lines but the superb NB NR on the K3 knocks it down to below the band noise level, Love my K3 !! 73 Bob K6UJ On Mar 6, 2013, at 4:52 AM, W5RDW wrote: > They were so strong last night, I tuned up my 80 meter inverted V with the > KAT500.
