TXG Message

William Shappley-2

Regarding the TXG message:  I just finished the assembly and
alignment of K3 SN 000175.  During the low power transmitter gain
calibration, I got the same message.  It happened to me in the 60M
band.  Apparently, after doing the synthesizer cal, the VFO stops
on some frequencies unsuitable for transmit.  You would get an END
message normally if out of band,
but for some reason on 60M I got the TXG.  After setting the VFO to a
legal 60M frequency, it worked fine.  So, it may
just be that you are not on a legal 30M frequency.  Set it to 10.125
and try again.

As per owners manual

Transmit gain constant out of range.
This usually indicates a problem with band-pass filter alignment or
one of
the low-pass filters. In either case it could affect one or two
bands. See
service manual.
