Thank you to everyone that helped with my digital setup.  I now know I  
do not need a microham USB II and the K3 does great without it. Once  
you buy these things you keep them so I've got a future donation item  
to the local radio club.  My next setup questions involve transmit  
audio levels and how to set them in cocoaModem.  Thanks again everyone.

Basically I set the output from the Mac to mid-range and then while transmitting I bring up the Mic Gain ( Line ) until I see it flickering between 4 and 5 bars on the ALC.   Set the power to what I want to run and go..
