The Amplifier at Dayton

k0wa@swbell.net
I got to look at pictures of the amp (KPA800??) at
Dayton, but failed to get over to the Hotel to see the
amp in person.  The other guys that came with be from
Kansas  wanted to go see Star Wars.

The amp is a work of art and engineering.  I do not
want to talk out of turn here, but it is a
"contesters" amp.  It is also not cheap.

It is well layed out and has some fantastic features
that will raise the bar...so to speak.  It is not a
Mini-Lini!

RE: The Amplifier at Dayton

N2TK
Just curious what is different about a contester's amp?
I want QSK for Dxing
If Elecraft can get decent output on 6M with this amp I can have my XV50
drive one input on the amp for 6M and the K2 drive the other input on the
amp. That makes it a great amp for two purposes for Dxing. I agree it will
also be great for contesting.
The price does seem competitive with what is out there in the same feature,
power class.

Well, it is set for a SO2R - Single Op - Two Radio
senario.  There are inputs for two radios along with
control lines for switching.  To me, that is set up
for some pretty heavy contesting...DX or Domestic.

Also, not all of it is a kit.  Some of it will be
"pre-constructed."
