Whoops, I am working on making an External Speaker for my K2 with an EC2 Enclosure. Metalwork is not my strong point. Any way I am probably going to have to sand and repaint the entire front panel where I tried to cut out the opening for the speakers. Can any one recommend a type and color of spray paint the matches the color and shade of Elecraft Gray?

Hi Chuck;
Get pewter color. That is the closest I've found and I have painted a cabinet with it and it looks very close. To get a look at the cabinet I painted, have a look in the Elecraft pictures archive or try the link at the end of this email and you'll see the power supply/speaker cabinet I painted for my K1. http://www.elecraft.com/PictureGallery/NewPics2/VE3RPF_K1and%20PS.jpg Robert VE3RPF Can any one recommend a type and color of spray paint the matches the color and shade of Elecraft Gray? > > 73 KI4DGH > Chuck G. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. K1 and K2 touch-up paint is available directly from Elecraft. Check the
"Spare Parts, Firmware and Mod Kits" page. 73 -- Don N4HH ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]>; <[hidden email]> Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2005 5:52 PM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Touch up Paint Recommendations > Hi Chuck; > > Get pewter color. Hi Chuck,
why not just use the touch up paint that Elecraft sells for any small oops? or get one of the small sprayers you see at a hobby shops that has its own little can of compressed air to recoat the front panel? btw I covered the front panel with a layer of masking tape when I did mine... great for laying out where I wanted to cut and kept me from scratching up the panel . 73 Kevin WA6FWF ----- Original Message ----- From: <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2005 2:29 PM Subject: [Elecraft] Touch up Paint Recommendations > Whoops, I am working on making an External Speaker for my K2 with an EC2 > Enclosure.
