Conditions were OK for most of us this week.
The net ran on 3631 KHz from 0900 to 0953 hours local (0800 -
0853 UTC).
There was some interest in the recently announced W2 power meter
and K144XV 2m K3 internal transverter. We had a discussion on
the level of AM modulation from the K3, mine gives 85% mod on a
whistle and seems well modulated to me. Running AM with the K3
and Acom 1000 gives a nice 100 Watt carrier (400W PEP) which is
the UK limit for AM.
Stations were:
G3YPZ, John
G3XGC, Geoff
G0VGS, Ian
M3WCK, Colin
G4CGG, Richard
73 until next week
Dave, G4AON
K3/100, Acom 1000, dipole
