Using a second K3 as a receiver for diversity

Mike Dillon

Has anyone used a second K3 as a diversity receiver as opposed to the
second receiver installed in  a single K3? Switching and protection
could be accomplished externally to achieve this.

You have to have the same time base for both channels.
Ideally it would be the same LO for both channels....but
separate oscillators from the same reference are workable.

Two different radios would be a problem to keep locked.
