Using the old, original RJ45 Rigblaster with the K2

Les and Lynn
S/N 4751 with KSB2 is now on the air - the first contact was a TI8 from
Florida with great audio reports using the MD2 Heil mike (i.e., all jumpers
and the 5.6K ohm resistor are in place on the front panel). All subsequent
signal reports have been great as well - not bad for 12 watts into an 80
meter loop fed with ladderline through a tuner.

But, I want to use the K2 with my old, original Rigblaster that I bought for
my ICOM 706MIIG some years ago. This Rigblaster has RJ45 connectors on the
front and back. Since the MD2 mike setup is almost identical tothe 8 pin
Kenwood mike family, I set the jumpers this morniing to the Kenwood family
of mikes. I then connected modular plug pin 1 to mike connector pin 1 (Mike
input), modular connector pin 2 to mike connector pin 2 (PTT), and pins 7
and 8 to pins 7 and 8 (Ground lines).

Digipan 1.6D was used and is normally reliable, but this time, the PTT did
not key and the resultant transmitter output was 0.

So, does anyone on the reflector know how to wire up this older (5 years)
Rigblaster? Where did I go wrong?

73 and Thanks,

Les WA3SGZ
