I hope Eric and Wayne will forgive me for this message, but it's the only way
I know to get the word out to the (many) folks who have been so supportive during my recent surgeries and subsequent recovery. If I had to send separate (direct) e-mails, I'm certain I'd miss someone, and I'd hate to do that. On Jul 1, when they yanked my bladder and prostate (both of which were cancerous, but different cancers), they also took nine (9) nearby lymph glands to check for any possible spread (metastasis) of the cancer outside the bladder. Three of the lymph glands came back as having cancer from the bladder in them. So it was pretty much a given that I was gonna have to have chemo once I recovered from the surgeries. Last week (Mon/Tue) I had CT and PET/CT scans run in preparation for my meeting with my oncologist. The scans both indicate NO DETECTABLE (FURTHER) METASTASIS of the cancer!!! I just had my meeting with my oncologist this morning. He says NO CHEMO... at least for now... wants me back on 2 months for a check up and then at 3 months I'll get another CT scan. If it's still clean, I'll get a CT and PET/CT at 6 months, and if they're still clean he doesn't want to see me until the 12-month point!!! So, I must admit that things are looking so much better than I EVER thought they would be at this time today!!! Needless to say, I'm a happy camper...!!! <G> This is my third(!) trial by cancer... and I hope the very LAST! I cannot adequately express my gratitude to those of you who have kept me in your thoughts and prayers, and who have written, and sent e-mails of encouragement. You'll never know how much you helped during those times when things weren't looking all that good. Thanks SO MUCH..! 73, Tom N0SS _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Tom,
That's great news! I'm sure glad it is all going well, and keep that great attitude--it helps too!
