Hi,
A friend of mine has the VFO-B on his K3 stuck. Frequency wont change. Also, when he tries to access the menu, all he can see is FW-rev. Is this a common issue? He tried front panel resetting the rig, but that did not fix the issue. 73m -- Felipe Ceglia - PY1NB ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PR1T team member /// Rio DX Group member /// Araucaria DX Group member http://www.dxwatch.com /// http://reversebeacon.net /// http://riodxgroup.dxwatch.com ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Hi Felipe,
This should never happen. It sounds like the VFO B shaft encoder may be inserted too far into the front panel. Try removing the VFO B knob and checking the panel hardware. If backing VFO B out a bit doesn't fix it, remove the front panel and inspect the VFO B connectors. If you don't see the problem right away, please email K3support. 73, Wayne N6KR Felipe Ceglia wrote: > Hi, > > A friend of mine has the VFO-B on his K3 stuck. Frequency wont > change.
