VOX Delay with CW in SSB

It appears that in CW in SSB mode, the VOX delay is not in use, only full  
break in.
 
Keying the microphone overrides the CW in SSB, which makes sense.
 
Have I missed something? I want to use CW in SSB with VHF transverters,  
whose relays don't work so well with full break in.

      Is this a K3 or KX3?  On the KX3, the CW delay set in CW mode is used
when sending CW in SSB.  On the K3, I forget ... I usually use a foot
switch to key the transverters &c,
