VP6DX on 160M... MAN, talk about EARS!

Tom I'm sorry if my comment about the QRP list was
misinterpreted to mean you were saying it was your performance.
I just see a lot of QRPers post comments who think their DX
QSOs are due to their abilities.  I've been on both sides of
QRP contacts, copying QRP stations as well as being QRP myself.
I always take great pride in being able to hear them and I'm
also absolutely amazed when someone can copy my QRP with apparent
ease.  When that happens, I know who can really hear well!

Related to this, others might appreciate the following
funny VP6DX story from the Topband list:

I decided to call him QRP at 5 watts and he came back and said I
was a true 599 plus.  So I reduced power to 1 watt and he said I
was still 599.  I then reduced power to 100 milliwatts and he copied
me at 559.  He then suggested that we try ESP.  I increased power to
50 watts and asked him what card I was thinking of.  He guessed an
Ace of Spades but it was actually the King of Hearts.  Guess
propagation wasn't as good as we thought!

Respecting the efforts of the contester who makes the effort to work QRP
stations is why I like the Stew Perry Topband challenge. Extra points
are awarded to the operators on both ends of the QRP contact.
