W2 connection issues

Jim Spears
I have two W2 units that I use with different K3's and different W10
computers.  One of them is reluctant to connect when I start up the W2
utility program.  So I power the W2 off and back on with the utility program
active and it connects just fine.  This is consistent behavior.

The other seems to be able to connect just fine.  I have not spent any time
trying to figure out why one requires the off/on sequence but just live with
it.

There may something in the physical connection to the computer.  i.e.
through a USB port, through a COM port, etc.

Re: W2 connection issues

Tim Herrick
Hi Jim,

If you figure it out please let us know. I have the same problem with a Win
7 machine. Everytime I start the software I must turn the W2 off then back
on for it to be detected even though the software sees the com port.

It may be worth checking this about USB port power management.   This
feature has been known to cause difficulties.
