Deleting the W2 Interface Program "preferences file" did the trick. When
the program was restarted, it created a new one. In my original post, I
mentioned "W2 Utility" therefore confusing myself and others as the program
used to load new firmware is named "W2 Utility" and is a completely
different program.
For future reference, the file is located in (W7, YMMV) C:\Users\Jim
Spears\AppData\Roaming and is named "W2prefs".
Thanks to Dave, W4SMT, for the lead.
