Hello all,
Last night I left my KX1 out in the cold and keyed up - no output.
So I brought it in and hooked it up on the bench - 4w output!
I then took off the bottom cover and with the green plastic tool I
received with my K2 I started to poke around. As I touched R10, the
power went to zero. I had not soldered one end of R10 the emitter
resistor to the driver transistor in the transmitter.
No more Kangaroo KX1! But I do like the trail name "Kangaroo Ed."
So I think I'll keep that name as my trail name.
72,
Kangaroo Ed, WA3WSJ
