WB3AAL on the AT in between storms

WB3AAL
Hello,

Stormy wx on the East Coast all week. We had around 3/4 of an inch during
the rain event over night and expecting storms this afternoon. Since it is
the XYL's birthday this weekend and she is at work now I am going to get out
onto the Appalachian Trail with in an hour. I have to pack my pack and I
should be on the AT and on CW HF by 15:30 UTC. This is a last minute
decision.

I will have my K1 @ 5w into the BWV antenna. I will try 20m first to see if
I can reach over the pond into Europe but hope that I make any QSO's on that
band around 14.060. I will also try 7.030 thru 7.040 and 10.116. I will
check 15m for signals and if something is heard I will try a couple CQs.

Hope to make a few QSOs today towards my 2k AT QSO.

72 and Thanks,
Ron Polityka
