Just about to head out to work here in LA area, decided to give a listen for Swains Island on 40 meters. Booming in, so I gave a call and they came right back, a little difficulty at first, until I realized I had my xmit power on my K3 dialed down to two watts. Bumped up to 7 and no problem. "Well, a QRP station finally made it in," the op said. "Congratulations."
First DXpedition QSL ever. Good feeling. Great rig.
