You would have to shoot me and pry it from the hand I don't send CW with
before I'd give mine up. After the ATU, it is the best accessory ever for the K1. Of course, this doesn't do much for your search, but for anyone with a K1, consider it an endorsement. It definitely does the job, but...it seems way over-engineered and complicated for the task of simply lifting the front of a K1, which is all that many require. It doesn't colllapse quickly for storage, and it provides only two orientations for the K1, assuming that you carry both sets of support legs along. All I really want is a simple *permanently* attached wire bale that can be flipped down to prop up the front. I don't need my K1 to look like it is floating a couple of inches above the table. The KTS1 and the KNB1 are two K1 accessories that have fallen out of use here. 73, Mike / KK5F _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Yes, some type of wire bale would definitely be on my shopping list! I
think the K1 is under rated and one of the best little rigs out there for portability and utility! I love to use mine here in the shack also and thus I would love to have a wire bale! I have a 4-band fully loaded with all accessories but I must admit I have never used the battery option even though it is installed. Perhaps someone could invent a wire bale? I'm sure it would be a best seller! 73 Keith/W8GX K1 #1167 dit dit -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Mike Morrow Sent: Sunday, June 19, 2005 1:00 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] WTB tilt stand--K1 > After the ATU, it is the best accessory ever for the K1.
