I believe I understand Jim's question.  How do you get the internal clock to coincide with WWV to the second?  Jim, Go to CONFIG: TIME.  Adjust the internal clock time for 1 min ahead of WWV by tapping #2 keypad.  Tap #3 keypad to adjust the seconds and keep turning the VFO A counterclockwise to keep the second display at zero.  When WWV gets to the min ahead, quit rotating VFO A.  It may take a little practice, but you can set the clock to within a second.  Keep in mind that the internal clock loses time so this precision doesn't mean a whole lot.  I have a wall clock that receives the time signal from WWV.  I use this wall clock to set my internal clock.  Anyway, this is the way I do it.  I am sure if there is a better way someone will let us know.  
It surely would be nice if the internal clock received the signal from WWV.  Roy Morris  W4WFB

Hey that's a cool way to set the clock.  TNX.  However since the thing won't stay set, I should get good exercise pushing #2 and #3 and rocking the VFO knob back and forth.

The RTC in the K3 is specified at 2 seconds per day, I believe. If it's
worse than this, you may have a slightly mistuned 32 kHz oscillator
crystal. Please contact k3support for help with this.

Anyone who is really good with surface-mount assembly has the option of
trying to trim this oscillator closer than we do in the factory :)  One
capacitor is involved, although the procedure is a bit tricky. Let me
know if you're interested *and* have the right equipment (an accurate
freq counter with low-C probe and a very good SMD soldering station).

My K3 RTC was gaining less than 2 seconds a month last summer.  This  
winter,   it has been loosing about the same.  The temp. in the shack  
is about 15 degrees warmer in the summer.  It would be near perfect at  
about 65 degrees F.  I don't think I will try to tweak it :).  I  
originally thought that the RTC would use the TCXO as a time base but  
that would require the TCXO to be powered up all the time.
