RE: My K3....Audio seems to be totally cut off below 300hz. My subwoofer is
unhappy. What's with that? My 870 , 7800 and O7 rocked but this K3 is "bassless". Yes I tried the RX EQ, passband etc. Event he waterfall is cut off past 300hz when trying to do digital. Steve, I am looking at the waterfall of my Kenwood
TS-850SAT and it cuts off at 300 Hz with the ssb filter and at 400 Hz with the CW filter. That is what communications receivers do. --- n4lq <[hidden email]> wrote: > RE: My K3....Audio seems to be totally cut off below > 300hz. My subwoofer is > unhappy. What's with that? Yes, currently the K3 rx audio passband rolls off below 250hz. It's a limitation in DSP that hopefully will get opened up soon.
No, it's not an issue of "what communications receivers do". The Orion passband is flat down to 50hz. 73, Barry N1EU

I also notice that in CW, the K3's Rx audio bandwidth cannot be adjusted to match the greater bandwidth offered in SSB. Hopefully, that too will be addressed later. On a clear and open band, I enjoy listening to CW with Rx bandwidths of 3.6K or more.
