While talking Split, Why do you have to turn Off to Change Modes.

Why is it necessary to have split "off" when changing modes to digital
from CW/SSB  or in digital
going to CW or SSB?  I guess there is some reason for this, but it is
aggravating
to have to cut off and then back on.
