Why Choose Larch Timber Cladding?

So yeah I’ve been looking into exterior wood choices for this recent project and larch timber cladding keeps popping up, like, a lot. Honestly what I’ve gathered is that larch timber cladding brings really solid longevity, natural weather resistance, and that nice grain definition which works for both clean modern layouts and also the more classic look. A bunch of homeowners seem to like the way it matures over time, like it turns into that silver-grey patina gradually, not overnight or anything. Also from what I’ve seen it tends to need less upkeep than some other softwood cladding options, which is kind of the dream.

Has anyone here already used it on residential builds or maybe commercial settings? I’m especially curious about long-term behaviour, and how the installation process actually went in practice, like with fixing, spacing, and whether it was a smooth install overall.
