Had a wierd thing happen this afternoon. I was tuning for RTTY signals on the high end of 30 meters when all of a sudden, the P3 decided to show a different frequency than I was listening to. The filter marker was way off the screen and the displayed frequency on the P3 didn't match the K3. I was NOT in SPLIT and both the A/B VFO's were indicating the same frequency. The 400 Hz filter in FL/2 was selected and DUAL PASSBAND was ON.
Couldn't find anything in the manual and restoring the K3's configuration from one I saved several days ago had no apparent effect on what the P3 was doing - P3 at that time indicated a frequency of 000.0.
Checked all connections and they were good so I recycled power on the P3 and then on the K3 to no avail.
Wound up having to do a complete INIT of the K3, cycling power and THEN reloading the previously saved configuration. Everything was then back to normal, so I saved that config just in case.
Not sure what happened and if it happens again, I'll try to remember exactly what was going on at the time of the anomaly.
