Wndows 7 Home Premium Blue Screen Crash with DM780

Frank MacDonell
I posted some time ago and wanted to check if anyone has heard of a
solution or update to HRD to resolve the problem. Software boots up
fine. Then after 15 minutes, screen freezes and/or goes blue and
crashes.

This occurs using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with HRD v5.0. The HRD
Forums speak to the problem but no clear solution. Thank you all for
your time.

I have the exact same problem with windows xp. Reinstalling HRD helped
for a short while, but now it's back to freezing up again.

I think Simon is still wrapped up in his SDR project, so not sure when
the next HRD release is due.

Short of that, there doesn't appear to be a fix.  At least none that
anyone's been able to find.

I'd like to be wrong about that!

I've not tried DM780 yet because, although HRD runs on my Win7 system,
it becomes non-responsive after 10-15 minutes IF I also run the logbook.

This is part of the reason why I have ditched HRD and gone back to Maclogger
on the Mac.  It seems to me that HRD has become too bloated and, for the
moment at least, inadequately supported.
