Worked Ducie Island tonite (12:11 PST) on 80m SSB with K2 # 1609 , K2 100w
amp, and persistence. The 100w amp was one of the field test units.
Antenna is a ridiculously low OCF wire with a mountain ridge to the
southwest. I think I am getting a nice diffraction off of the ridge from my
NVIS antenna because anything low angle is going straight into the rocks.
My first DXpedition contact in 40+ years of ham radio. Quite a thrill.
