XG2 Harmonics question

Ken Bessler
 I just built an XG2 and tested K2 #4913 on 80, 40
& 20m. I'd like to test using the harmonics of those
3 frequencies on other bands but I need to know how
many db's does the XG2 signal fall off when on the
harmonics? Say, the 3rd harmonic of 7040.25 for
15m and the 2nd harmonic of 14060.02 for 10m?

Re: XG2 Harmonics question

Mark J. Schreiner
I would think it would be similar to the XG1, which according to its
manual and according to measurements that I took on an HP8594E (I think)
Spectrum Analzyer which matched closely to the manual as follows:

2nd Harmonic:  -7 dB
3rd Harmonic:  -14 dB
4th Harmonic:  -24 dB
5th Harmonic:  Not Specified but I measured it, just can't find the
results now

The manual specifies that the results may vary slightly but should be
within +/- 3 dB of specified values.  Since there is no filter on the
output that would change this I would think that the results would be
similar for the XG2 as the XG1.  Maybe somebody could measure these and
verify.
