XG3 Sending Morse?

Jack Chomley
Now I have a new XG3 in my hot little hands, thought it was time for a
fiddle.
After studying the release notes etc, I cannot see any place in the software
to
set the PF1 memory? Is this what I need after sending
WM,[13de_vk4jrc:03[20de_vk4jrc:03[30de_vk4jrc:03[40:03#;
to the XG3?
Despite doing this in the command line, the XGS does not send anything,
other than its continuous carrier.
I have successfully upgraded the firmware to 1.14, that process worked fine.
Does PF,01,01;   need to be included in the above command string, to write
to the memory, so the PF1 button
will set the XG3 to transmit the string? Was looking to set this mode for a
T Hunt test.

From http://www.elecraft.com/XG3/xg3fwnotes.rtf (pages 4-5):

################################################
Morse Memory Example

Use the XG3 Utility’s Command Tester (far right tab) to enter these commands:

WM,^0de_w1aw:10^1:10^2:10*$60#;

Changes the level to 0 dBm, then sends ‘de w1aw’, sends carrier at 0 dBm for 10 seconds, then
changes the level to -33 dBm, sends carrier for 10 seconds, changes level to -73 dBm, sends carrier for 10 seconds, sends SK, pauses silent for 60 seconds and repeats indefinitely.

Set up PF1 for Morse memory sending:
PF,01,01; configure PF1 to send Morse memory.

To play the memory, either hold down the Band+/PF1 key or send S,01; over the serial port.
################################################

IMHO the manual is a little cryptic but follow their examples and you'll eventually get there.  Yes you do need to send PF,01,01 to assign the command to the PF1 button.
