So I have an interesting issue. I can talk to my XG3 with an FTDI
USB/serial adapter. But I can't talk to it with my old KUSB serial adapter (which I still use with my K3). The old KUSB is a Prolific device. I did verify I have the latest drivers. Not that big a deal, but wondered if anyone can talk to the XG3 with a Prolific device. I use my original KUSB with an XG3. The XG3 Utility was developed and
tested with one of the early KUSB devices. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Phil & Debbie Salas Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2011 6:16 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] XG3 and KUSB (old) So I have an interesting issue. Make sure that using the Prolific device that the OS is assigning the
same COM port number you think it is. It most likely will stubbornly assign different COM numbers for the two devices. 73, Guy.
